Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

Why SCCA?
Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) is a cancer treatment center that unites doctors from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine and Seattle Children’s.

Our goal, every day, is to turn cancer patients into cancer survivors. Our purpose is to lead the world in the prevention and treatment of cancer.

The Best Doctors
SCCA’s parent organizations—Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine and Seattle Children’s—are recognized internationally as leaders in the fight against cancer. As a result, SCCA is home to some of the world’s best surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists. Together, this expert team of doctors offers the most advanced care and the best outcomes available anywhere.

Access to the Latest Treatments
Patients at SCCA receive the latest treatments and therapies for cancer, from chemotherapy regimens that are easier to tolerate to less-invasive surgical procedures that minimize post-operative pain and speed up the healing process. Patients also have access to many new drugs and alternative treatments that are under investigation in clinical studies and are available only at SCCA and at limited sites around the country.

Personalized Care
Not only do today’s cancer patients have more treatment options than ever before, but every patient’s cancer is different, as are their preferences and beliefs. So a treatment regimen that works well for one patient may not be right for someone else. At SCCA, your team of doctors will provide you with a customized course of treatment that best matches your diagnosis, as well as your personal circumstances.

An Alliance at the Leading Edge of Cancer Care
The Hutchinson Center, together with its clinical and research partners—University of Washington, Seattle Children’s and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance—comprise the Fred Hutchinson/University of Washington Cancer Consortium. The Consortium is among 40 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers nationwide and receives more funding for cancer research than any other NCI site in the country.
